Job Duties
Senior Engineers for Westmont, IL location. Engage with customers to identify and prioritize UI/UX development opportunities to deliver best-in-class engineering software for automotive industry clients. Define and own long-term vision for the user experience of key components of GT-SUITE user interface. Act as product owner for assigned areas for user interface. Generate software feature proposals to satisfy mechanical design requirements and handle concurrent development projects to deliver timely feature updates to GT-SUITE. Participate in planning and standup to represent the component of the software. Work with customers after delivery of features to support a high-quality user experience.
Requirements
*Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Design or any engineering field plus two years of experience in engineering required. Required skills: product ownership; CAD tools (AUTOCAD and CADWorx); CAE Analysis tool AFT (Applied flow Technology); Python; SQL Server; product ownership for web and desktop applications; User research; User experience design; Prototyping and design tools including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe illustrator; training users/clients/customers. Some telecommuting permitted. (*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Design or any engineering field plus five years of progressive experience in engineering also acceptable).
